Waagashi

Waagashi (also known as wagashi, wagasi, amo, waru) is a fresh cheese common to West Africa - including Benin and northern Ghana. We actually made this Wagashi ourselves using cow's milk, lemon juice, and salt following a recipe online. It is often served fried as part of a bigger dish.

Making wagashi at home in a urban location was quite simple and took less than an hour. [Recipe and method to follow]
