Chakry

Chakry (Also known as thiakry or degue) is a soured milk dessert traditionally made from scratch using wholegrain millet flour, hand-rolled into tiny balls, similar in size to couscous. These are then steamed and added to the soured milk base along with coconut, sugar, and raisins. Served cooled.

We sampled this chakry at Little Baobab Restaurant, 66-68 Great Suffolk Street, London SE1 0BL. Also at Peckham Levels.
