We are super-excited to receive a very special delivery at Fermenting Cultures HQ.

Over the past couple of months, we’ve been quietly creating a small, but perfectly formed, publication that brings together much of what we’ve gathered in our first year of the project. It marks the first phase of creating a knowledge bank of ferments from Africa and the African diaspora via south London.

The publication includes excerpts from conversations with some of our generous collaborators including Light of Africa, Kromanti rum, Little Baobab and many more. We’ve also created some new writing reflecting on our fermenting journey so far, and much more.
The publication was designed by the brilliant Emma Hall from Emma Make Studio. The project so far has been made possible by funding from the Black Food Fund.

It has been such a joy to work on. We look forward to sharing it with you all very soon. Watch this space! 💛
